NAMED FOR A BLANKET OF "PONDEROSA PINES" THAT APPEARS BLACK FROM A DISTANCE. IF YOU ROLL A PINE NEEDLE IN YOUR FINGERS YOU WILL FIND THAT ONE SIDE OF THE PONDEROSA PINE NEEDLE IS FLAT, THIS FLAT SIDE DOES NOT REFLECT LIGHT,THUS FROM A DISTANCE THE HILLS APPEAR BLACK.

IT IS OUR INTENT TO PROMOTE OUR MINING AND LOGGING HERITAGE WITH A COMMUNITY CELEBRATION CALLED "HOLY TERROR DAY'S"
|
We believe that public engagment,community support, and adequate resources are essential to the success of HOLY TERROR DAYS and the ASSOCIATION. The mission statement of the association is not only to organize and fund the event, but to take profits from the event and organize and fund community improvement projects and youth activities and projects.
The HOLY TERROR DAYS ASSOCIATION is an organiztion which provides activites and camaraderie within Keystone. Donations received pay for expenses of HOLY TERROR DAYS activities as well as activities within our community.
Groups within our community may apply for funds which promote Keystone and its residents and families.It is our intent to promote our town and try creat a wholesome, educational family atmosphere within our community.
